letting go
so my weekend with the horse was pretty fun, it was good to see most people again. Oliver was incredibly crabby with me when i brought him back and made it clear that he wanted NOTHING to do with me for awhile. so i will give him the space he needs. here was the hardest part to deal with…my old riding instructor giving me the cold shoulder. cold shoulder cause i grew up and got my own horse? cold shoulder cause he read this website? cold should because i am associated with a group he has already shunned…who knows but man did we get some dirty looks. and we even got yelled at, and i mean seriously yelled at at one point. for the record we were doing nothing wrong except having a little bit of fun. i can safely say that this was probably the last wrr overnight i will ever go on. which is too bad…the negative vibes were overwhelming, which sucks for me/us, however it sucks for wrr even more because when someone asks me where they should take riding lessons, i will no longer recommend there in fact i may even go so far as to tell people to steer clear. and everyone knows word of mouth is one of the best ways of advertising.
