“for most of history, “anonymous” was a woman.” Virginia Woolf American writer

heres the most disgusting thing i have heard yet this holiday season (i was coming home from work last night) It was on 93X, radio station notorious for its objectification of women. Its a comercial, a DJ is talking and there is a woman on the obvious verge of orgasm, moanin the backround, and the DJ is saying “a REAL MAN will give toys this years” “all the men are being real generous this holiday season” and with each line, the woman moans louder. “Come to Ricks this Friday between 11 and 2 (Ricks is a strip club in minneapolis) and give toys for “ta ta's” and the woman moans louder, only then do you realize its a toys for tots commercial that is apparently supposed to be appealing to men, as if men are low enough life forms to only want to be generous if they can do it in the guise of going to a strip club to oggle at naked women, only if they can be told they are “real” men for giving because theres is sexual connotations attatched in some way to giving toys. Here help out the less fortunate, but don't worry, you will get some sexual satisfaction in return. I know my guy is WAAAAYYYY better then that. All week i work with the sex offenders trying to get them to see women as real human beings, not just sexual objects, and then most of them listen to this radio station and hear “mainstream people” (men AND women work for this station none the less and are therefor endorsing these attitudes) What are the sex offenders to think, who are they more likely to beleive? Little old me, or their favorite dj on their favorite radio station who is promoting their favorite bands? So go ahead America promote these ideas, help the sex offenders cement in their view of what women are…just hold your daughters close when they are released, because oh yes, they ARE released, and there is a 98% recidivism rate, and they DO move into your neighborhoods…and they DO stare at your daughters and fantasize about raping them…my outrage at this commercial doesn't sound so prudish now does it?
