birthday girl

the big 26. Now closer to 30 then i am to 20. My body has noted this passing of time with some wrinkles that have formed under my eyes. If you ask me, they developed overnight on Tuesday when i was 25, and appeared on Wednesday when i was 26. So yesterday i took the day off of work. I went to the barn and walked out to the back of the pasture only to find my horse was missing. He had managed to escaped the confines of the fence and was roaming in a field of thigh high grass. He wasn't happy about being caught so i didn't ride like i was planning (didn't need to break my arm on my birthday). then i went to IKEA and spent some money on decor for my house as the walls are looking pretty bare. I also went to the mall and spend more money then i probably should have. Jason took me to the Melting Pot in downtown minneapolis for an amazing (if expensive) dinner. We had loads of fun with the creation of our fondu masterpieces. It was about an hour and a half ordeal. I had a great day yesterday…although i can't help but think that the fact i am excited about such low key activities means i am old. To prove i'm not, i will be hitting the hotspots downtown tomorrow night. Here's to hoping that i am old enough to maintain control of myself, but young enough to avoid a hangover!
