post holiday
The holidays are over…I survived. Going in i was quite suprised how blank my schedule was. Then, with a bang, i had something going on 4 or 5 nights a week for about 2 weeks. Most of the events involved too much drinking, and my inability to function the following day reminded me once again that i am not 21 anymore. Some people can hang in there long into their 30's and 40's, but to tell you the truth, ever since i was 21, i have barely been “hanging in there” when it comes to partying. I had one friend get married over the holidays (congrats Christy and Bryce!) so i got to see a lot of people from the highschool years that i haven't seen in 3 or 4 years. I also had two friends get engaged in the past month, not to one another!(Congrats Megan and Maggie!!) On December 17th, J and I took a road trip to Racine WI, where i adopted an Italian Greyhound ( www.italiangreyhoundrescue.org ). What can i say? 2 wasn't enough. At 13 inches and 14 lbs he is a true ankle biter. He's full of energy and provides constant entertainment. I have renamed him Joey and we learning how to get along one day at a time. He comes to work with me a lot and is doing well with the socialization thing. Hopefully i can get the pics i took developed soon and get them up on this site. I applied for a couple of jobs within my company but neither of them panned out. It appears i may be in line for a promotion soon…will keep you up to date on that. Other then that i am looking forward to the next year (once i get my christmas tree down of course). I will be going on vacation to Mexico in March, and a trip to Lake Tahoe in the summer, and Vegas in the fall are in the works. A lot of positive changes are on the horizon for Jason and I, and i can't wait to see what the next 12 months with bring!!
