update
i officially started my new position with my company today. It wasn't much different at this point from what i do everyday, i just met with the program directors i now supervise. Its going to be an interesting challenge to work with these personalities and get them all to start working together, rather then complaining about their jobs. Some people are just negative. I took my first fall off of Calvin this weekend. It wasn't really his fault or mine, we were riding outside, enjoying the 8 inches of new snow and hit a slippery spot and he want down on his side. I went flying into a bunch of snow, so it didn't hurt in the least, but i was covered from head to foot and that made it icy cold. The cutest part is that Calvin just lay in the snow and waited for me to recover. Most horses would panic and their first instinct is to stand up as fast as possible and then probably run. But he didn't he just layed there like he was enjoying himself and waited for me to stand up and ask him to get up. We were both ok, but i was super cold and my saddle and saddle pad were covered in snow, so we called it a day. Didn't do much this weekend besides bum around the house. Hmmmm…not much else to report…life just plugs along. The trip to Mexico is getting closer and closer, I am VERY ready for a long vacation in the warm weather!
