Jason was kind enough to update my site…so it looks very nice and apparently is more user friendly for the non computer savy types like myself.

Here is the reason that you haven’t seen a post since Christmas…there is a new address i have to go to to access the page to write posts.  Jason told it to me 108 times, but i never bookmarked it, or wrote it down.  So he finally sent me a how to email. and VOILA, I am back!  Has much new happened since christmas for us?  Not really.  We are still making it happen with Riley (or “the commander”) as he is affectionately called in our household.  Things are getting easier…the crabbiness is tempered now by the biggest most beautiful smiles i have ever seen.  He is working on squeaking out giggles, and is mastering the finer points of getting his hands to go where he wants them to go.  Day care was none to kind to him the first week he was there and he picked up a nasty virus which resulted in one trip the ER and a week off of day care.  I have never felt more helpless then when I had to watch this little guy struggle to even breath.

Work is work…i go there for 8 hours a day, and bolt as soon as 4pm hits- its nice to have an excuse, but even nicer to have a reason to go home at the end of the day other then “i have to feed the dogs”  After 5 1/2 years working for REM, i am finally getting a “Real” office.  Up to this point I have shared a room in one of my homes with 3 other people, had a bug infested corner of a basement prone to flooding, been the lone desk in an otherwise gigantic room with a copier and shelves for storing toilet paper and old time clocks, the list of ridiculous office spaces i have occupied goes on.  I will now be reporting to an actual office building.  We make the big move this week…which is what I am supposed to be doing right now…packing up my current office.

Jason and I have set up a deadline to have the house on the market of April 1st, this has been pushed back somewhat from what i had determined while i was one leave.  But interestingly enough, life tends to re-prioritize me all the time without my consent.  We will see how the next 6 weeks go.
