if you will notice…there is still no new pictures on my site.  I will get there, i promise!  I have been a busy girl these days but haven’t found the balance between getting stuff done and being able to sit down for 10 minutes.

Lets see…i have a trip on the books!  My annual girls weekend in chi town will resume this year, it is already promising to be on par with the years past, though as we get a bit older i can’t help but wonder what it will mean to our schedule of activities.

I have started riding regularly again and have realized just how out of shape i am…The new barn has been wonderful and i couldn’t be happier.  I think Calvin likes it too, he’s been great these last few weeks.

T and i decided to get a jump on the tanning for the wedding in June.  I had to point out as we were standing there doing cost-risk-benefit analysis on each of the tanning packages and beds, grilling the poor 16 year old girl behind on the counter, that this must mean we are getting old.  Its fun to be tan though!!

Jason and i have reset the deadline (for the 3rd time) to get our house on the market-  May 31st this time.  We started painting the bedroom last weekend and got one coat of primer on over the 8 coats of red paint we put on when we moved in.  One more coat of primer should do it, and i think we can go and pick out a color thats a bit more neutral.  We have enjoyed the red, but i am not so sure the general population would appreciate it.

Most of you probably know that Riley has started rolling over a couple weeks ago now.  Well, this week he put 2 and 2 together and is getting around the room.  it takes a lot of grunting and complaining but he can usually make to where he wants to be.  He is also continuing his crawling efforts and is actually making progress these days.  He can scoot himself forward across the floor now insted of laying on his face and getting nowhere.  We are not ready for a mobile child on so many levels.  He had his first “swimming lesson” this week in which we got in the pool and just kind of played.  He was a bit overwhelmed with the whole thing and looked shocked most of the time.  When i turned him away from me to face outward he lost it.  There was another little girl screaming bloody murder, the poor dad who was with her looked very embarrassed…all i could do was laugh…what else would i expect from my “high spirited” and “opinionated” child.  He calmed down as long as he was facing me, but refused to participate in any of the games we were trying.  Next week will be better.
